Been gone for a minute....BUT NOW I'M BACK!

I have not posted in a while...I guess I've been busy. Now that it's snowing, and I'm stuck inside...I found I have a lot more free time!! Not much has actually changed in my tank for the past 2 months. I did purchase a green bubble tip anemone. He's pretty cool. It took him about 8 hours to find his "spot." He decided to make a home UNDERNEATH a piece of live rock...he hangs down, and then arches his stalk up. Not where I would have chosen to put him...but as Salt Water Aquariusts know, they chose where they end up...and we really have no say.

Peppermint Shrimp and Torch

Here are the newest additions to my tank. I picked up 3 peppermint shrimp from eddies. I'm hoping that they will help control my aiptasia. They range from 1 inch to 1.5 inches long. I also got a torch coral. I'm hoping the torch will grow a little bit more. I've named 2 of my peppermint shrimp: 1)Peppermint Patty 2)Candy Cane. The third name is still up for grabs....perhaps I'll take a poll????

Puppies

I was starting to feel a little guilty, for a couple reasons. The first is that I have only shown my fish or my fish tank on my website, and I haven't shown my babies at all. The second reason is just the fact that I haven't shown my babies at all. Here are a couple pix of my puppies. Max (English Springer Spaniel) was born November 27 (my fathers birthday) 2004. Simone (Rottweiler) was born April 2, 2006.

Brine Shrimp Day

I love adding the Frozen brine shrimp. This is really the only time that Dunkin' (my yellow watchman goby) actually comes out and eats. This worries me a little bit. I hope that in between the feedings of the frozen shrimp, that he gets enough food. I don't want him starving to death. I do have pods that I see crawling around on my live rock, but I never actually see him hunting them or picking them off the rocks. When I feed the sinking pellets (dainichi), he doesn't come out and eat them. Does anyone have any opinions on the feedings of yellow watchman gobies??
